I LOVE textured art, and my mom use sand in her paintings to create texture, and I love her results.
This one time we were visiting someone in my husbands family, they had a beautiful carved out stone or wooden board on their wall. I was very inspired, and figured I wanted to create something similar myself.
I wanted to create a stony look, in sand colors, and flower patterns.
I went to a beach nearby for sand, and mixed sand into my acrylic paint.
I fell in love with this technique, and I am so happy with the result. so I have decided to create a mini-series like this one, and possibly more art like this in the future <3
